Oil India Limited (OIL), a Government of India Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, has released an official notification inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to Teacher, Librarian and Instructor posts. The appointments will be made for Oil India Higher Secondary Schools, Group Vocational Training Centre (GVTC) and other Oil India establishments. Educational Qualification
Graduate Teacher (GT):
Candidates must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree with Major/Honours in the relevant subject with minimum 45% marks from a recognized University/Institute along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from an NCTE recognized institution. Candidates must have passed Class 10 with Assamese as MIL/Elective subject and should be capable of teaching in Assamese and English medium.
Librarian:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science from a recognized University/Institute.
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT):
Candidates must have passed a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with minimum 50% marks along with a Bachelor’s Degree (45% marks) and B.Ed. qualification from an NCTE recognized institution. Candidates must be capable of teaching in English medium.
Instructor:
Candidates should have passed Class 10 and possess a 3-year Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized Board/Institute along with minimum 5 years of post-qualification work experience in Oil & Gas / PSU / Government / Private sector organizations.
Age Limit (as on 07 March 2026)
Graduate Teacher / Librarian – 30 years
Post Graduate Teacher – 32 years
Instructor – 35 years
Age relaxation is applicable as per Government rules.
