Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Western Railway, under Indian Railways, invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to the post of Act Apprentice in various trades as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. Interested candidates must submit their applications online within the prescribed dates as mentioned in the official notification.

• Act Apprentice (Various Trades) – 5349

(Trade wise vacancy break up in official notification, e.g. Fitter, Electrician, Welder, PASSA, Electronics Mechanic, etc.)

Educational Qualification:

Matriculation (10th Class):

• Candidates should have passed Matriculation (10th class) from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks.

Technical Qualification:

• ITI Certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institute with NCVT/SCVT certificate.

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 15 Years

• Maximum Age: 24 Years

(Age relaxation applicable as per government rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen.)

Selection Process:

• Selection will be based on Merit List prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in Matriculation (10th) and ITI in the relevant trade with equal weightage.

• No written exam or interview.

• Tie-Breaker: Older candidate preferred; if date of birth same, candidate who passed Matric earlier preferred.

Stipend / Training:

• Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per Apprenticeship Act and Railway Board rules during training period.

Application Fee:

• General / OBC: ₹100/-

• SC / ST / PwBD / Women: No Fee

• Payment through Online (Debit / Credit / UPI / Net Banking).
