The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam, under the Government of Assam, invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to various posts in the Forest Department, Assam Police, Fire & Emergency Services, APRO, DGCD & CGHG and other allied departments. Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications online within the prescribed dates mentioned below.

Age Limit

The minimum age limit for most posts is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 40 years.

For Sub-Officer and Constable (WO/WT) posts, the age limit is 20 to 24 years.

Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of Assam rules.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay band of ₹14,000 to ₹70,000 per month, along with Grade Pay ranging from ₹4,400 to ₹6,400 (post-wise) and other admissible allowances as per Assam State Government norms.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or possess a Degree from a recognized board or university, depending on the post applied for.

Physical Standards

For male candidates, the minimum height requirement is 162.5 cm for General/OBC/MOBC/SC and 160 cm for ST(P)/ST(H).

For female candidates, the minimum height requirement is 154 cm for General/OBC/MOBC/SC and 152 cm for ST(P)/ST(H).

The chest measurement for male candidates is 79–84 cm for General/OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P) and 78–83 cm for ST(H).

Selection Process

The selection process consists of Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) followed by a Written Examination.

A Walking Test will be conducted for Forester Grade-I, Forest Guard and Game Watcher posts.

A Trade Proficiency Test will be held for Bandman and Bugler posts.

A Swimming and Boating Test will be conducted for Boatman posts.

Candidates who qualify will be called for Oral/Viva-Voce, followed by a Medical Examination.

Application Fee

There is no application fee for any category of candidates.

The date of notification is 16 January 2026.

The online application process starts from 22 January 2026.

The last date to submit the online application is 22 February 2026.

The correction window will be open from 23 February to 27 February 2026.
