Posting will be at various units and offices under Assam Police and allied departments across Assam, including districts and departmental establishments as per requirement.
Nature of Appointment:
Selected candidates will be appointed on a regular / permanent basis as per Government of Assam rules.
Educational Qualification:
Constable (UB): HSSLC (Class 12) passed
Constable (AB): HSLC (Class 10) passed
Sub-Inspector / Assistant Jailor: Graduate degree
Station Officer / Squad Commander: B.Sc. with PCM
Driver Posts: HSLC + valid driving license
Safai Karmachari: Class VI passed (maximum Class XII)
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026):
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: Up to 40 years (post-dependent)
Age Relaxation:OBC/MOBC – 3 years
SC/ST – 5 years
Salary:
Pay Scale: ₹12,000 – ₹70,000 per month
Grade Pay: ₹3,900 to ₹8,700 (post-wise)
Plus other allowances as admissible under Assam Government rules.
