Indian Army invites online applications from eligible Indian women candidates for Short Service Commission (Technical) Course (67th SSC Tech Women) in the Army. This recruitment is for women engineering graduates to be commissioned as Lieutenants in the Indian Army. Eligible candidates must submit applications online within the prescribed dates mentioned below.

Total Vacancies: ~31 posts (approximate, as per notification)

Post-wise Vacancies:

SSC Tech Women (Main) – 29 posts

SSCW (Tech) – Widows of Defence Personnel – 01 post

SSCW (Non-Tech) – Widows of Defence Personnel – 01 post

Stream-wise (Main SSC Technical Women):

Civil Engineering

Computer / Computer Science Engineering

Electrical Engineering

Electronics & Communication Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

The place of posting will be Pan India and during training at the respective pre-commission training academy.

Selected candidates will be appointed on a short service commission basis as per Indian Army rules.

Salary:

Pay Level-10: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 per month

Plus applicable allowances (as per Indian Army rules)

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology in the relevant stream from a recognized university / institute

Final year students of Engineering may also apply (subject to meeting criteria on/ before training)

Age Limit:

20 to 27 years (born between specified dates as per notification)

Widows of Defence Personnel: Age relaxation up to 35 years

No other age relaxation is permitted

Selection Process:

Shortlisting of applications based on academic percentage

SSB Interview (Service Selection Board) – 5-day assessment

Medical Examination
