Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), a prestigious Mini Ratna-I Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has released an official notification for the recruitment of 43 Graduate and Technician Apprentice Trainees for the year 2026. The apprenticeship training will be conducted at the company’s Hyderabad unit for a duration of one year under the Apprenticeship Act.
MIDHANI is one of India’s leading metallurgical industries engaged in manufacturing super alloys, special steels, titanium alloys and advanced materials used in strategic sectors such as Defence, Space Research and Atomic Energy. Candidates selected through this apprenticeship program will get hands-on industrial exposure in a high-technology PSU environment, which can significantly improve future career opportunities in engineering and core industries.
This apprenticeship recruitment is especially beneficial for engineering graduates and diploma holders from Assam and Northeast India who are looking for practical industrial training experience in a reputed Government enterprise. Many students from Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Jorhat and Silchar prefer PSU apprenticeships because they provide valuable technical exposure, industry certification and better placement opportunities in future government and private sector jobs.
The recruitment includes opportunities in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electronics disciplines. Candidates who completed their engineering degree or diploma during 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 are eligible to apply. Applicants who already completed apprenticeship training or possess one year or more of work experience are not eligible for this program.
Selection of candidates will be done purely on merit basis considering marks obtained in SSC and Engineering Degree/Diploma examinations. Final selection will be subject to certificate verification, medical fitness and police verification.
Interested candidates must first register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal and then send the application form with supporting documents to MIDHANI through registered post or courier before the deadline.

Selection Process
