Bank of Baroda has announced one of the biggest banking apprenticeship recruitment drives of 2026 with 5000 Apprentice vacancies across India under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This recruitment provides an excellent opportunity for graduate candidates who want to gain practical banking experience in India’s leading public sector bank.
The apprenticeship program will be conducted for one year across various states and union territories including Assam, West Bengal, Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and many more. Candidates selected under this program will work in real banking environments involving customer service, account handling, digital banking operations, financial products, branch administration and banking support activities.
This recruitment is especially attractive for graduates from Assam and Northeast India because banking sector jobs continue to be among the most preferred career options for young candidates. Students from Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Silchar and Tezpur often apply for Bank of Baroda apprentice programs to gain banking experience before appearing in IBPS, SBI, RBI and other competitive banking examinations.
Unlike many apprenticeship programs, Bank of Baroda has included an online examination, local language proficiency test and document verification process for final selection. Candidates applying for Assam locations must know Assamese, Bengali or Bodo language.
