Salary & Pay Scale

Pay scale and other allowances as admissible to Assam Rifles Personnel. Exact pay matrix will be as per 7th CPC for defence personnel (Level 3 for Rifleman, Level 4 for Havildar, approximately ₹21,700 - ₹69,100 + military service pay + allowances).

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026):18 to 25 years. Age relaxation as per government rules.
• Educational Qualification (Post-wise):
  • Rifleman GD / Armourer / Mason:10th class pass from recognized board.
  • Clerk:12th pass (Intermediate) + English typing (35 wpm) OR Hindi typing (30 wpm).
  • Cipher:12th pass + 2-year ITI in Radio/TV/Electronics OR Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/IT.
  • Electrical Fitter Signal:10th pass with Science, Math & English + practical electrical knowledge.
  • Lineman Field / Recovery Vehicle Mechanic / EMV / Metalsmith / Vehicle Mechanic / EEM:10th pass + ITI certificate in relevant trade.
  • Store Keeper Technical (SKT):12th pass (Matriculation with English, Maths & Science) + Diploma.
• Eligible Categories (Compassionate Ground Appointment Scheme – only one dependent family member per deceased/medically discharged/missing personnel):
  • Killed in Action (KIA)
  • Died while in service
  • Discharged from service on medical grounds
  • Missing while in service
